Cases of COVID-19 in South Africa
The following two graphs – (1) actual number plot & (2) logarithmic plot – show the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in South Africa as of 30 March 2020. The log curve (2), is the standard way of assessing the rate of proportional increase and whether the curve is flattening. These appear to show that thus far the lockdown is bringing the number of positive cases down, however, increased testing will increase the numbers, perhaps dramatically, so it is too early to relax.
