Exercise

Regular exercise is essential to overall health and wellbeing. Not only can regular exercise help prevent certain diseases, but it also increases serotonin levels which allows one to feel happier and helps reduce stress levels.

For many people, exercise can seem like a chore and is often skipped or put aside. However, there are many forms of exercise that one can participate in which are fun to do and beneficial to your health such as a brisk walk along our beautiful beaches, cycling or going for a run.

Rocky Bay Trails

Rocky Bay Resorts Mountain Bike Trails were opened in September 2011 and the running trails were opened in June 2014. Rocky Bay Resorts – Trails consists of an easy 12km as well as a 19km, 9km and then the more challenging 40km MTB trails, as well as 4, 6, 8 and 10km Running Trails. All Trails are marked and signed and we are continually improving and adding to our Trails!
There are trails for both novice and experienced mountain bikers alike. Riders are amazed at the variety of track and spectacular scenery that is available.

Umdoni Trails

Umdoni Park Environmental Centre hosts a 5Km Parkrun through their Nature Reserve every Saturday morning. The Parkrun at Umdoni is entirely free, but you are required to register before your first run and must bring a printed copy of your barcode. Each person runs at their own pace and for their own enjoyment and participants are invited to enjoy a post-parkrun cup of coffee at the Umdoni Park Restaurant.
